Generous in love—God, give grace!
Your people settled there, and you were generous to everyone in need.
An evil person borrows and never pays back; a good person is generous and never stops giving.
Give freely and spontaneously. Don't have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God's, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors.
"But me—who am I, and who are these my people, that we should presume to be giving something to you? Everything comes from you; all we're doing is giving back what we've been given from your generous hand…it all came from you! It was all yours in the first place! I know, dear God, that you care nothing for the surface—you want us, our true selves, and so I have given from the heart, honestly and happily.
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice. Ps 112:5
