Joy

The angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.

And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

The Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.

But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”

Then he spoke: You're blessed when you've lost it all. God's kingdom is there for the finding. You're blessed when you're ravenously hungry. Then you're ready for the Messianic meal. You're blessed when the tears flow freely. Joy comes with the morning.

[ Jesus’ Prayer of Thanksgiving ] At that same time Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and he said, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.

Luke 2:10 Matthew 3:17 Luke 3:22 Matthew 17:5 Luke 6:17 Luke 10:21

I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
John 15:11
