Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, I will write about the special abilities the Holy Spirit gives to each of us…

He has given each one of us a special gift according to the generosity of Christ.

Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Look after each other so that none of you will miss out on the special favor of God.

May God bless you with his special favor and wonderful peace as you come to know Jesus, our God and Lord, better and better.
