Serve

You say, "We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone." But what you have in mind will never happen.

For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.

And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

We have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit
