a WORD from God's Book

I send this letter to you …Christians cleaned up by Jesus and set apart for a God-filled life. I include in my greeting all who call out to Jesus, wherever they live.

It's well known that God isn't at the beck and call of sinners, but listens carefully to anyone who lives in reverence and does his will.

Hosea put it well: I'll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I'll call the unloved and make them beloved.

You are who you are through this gift and call of Jesus Christ!

Every time we think of you, we thank God for you. Day and night you're in our prayers as we call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope in following our Master, Jesus Christ, before God our Father. It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special.

By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God's call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going.
