Now that you've found you don't have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way.
"Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.
The point is, Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to.
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey.

Praise
a WORD from God's Book

How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ.
Praise God for the privilege of being called by his wonderful name!
The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God.

It's well known that God isn't at the beck and call of sinners, but listens carefully to anyone who lives in reverence and does his will.
Hosea put it well: I'll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I'll call the unloved and make them beloved.
You are who you are through this gift and call of Jesus Christ!
Every time we think of you, we thank God for you. Day and night you're in our prayers as we call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope in following our Master, Jesus Christ, before God our Father. Feet

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of reigns!

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

His Purpose
a WORD from God's Book

I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.
We know that God causes everything to work for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Did God's people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! His purpose was to make his salvation available to the Gentiles, and then the Jews would be jealous and want it for themselves.
By his death he ended the whole system of Jewish law that excluded the Gentiles. His purpose was to make peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new person from the two groups.
His purpose in all of this was that the nations should seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him--though he is not far from any one of us.
If you keep yourself pure, you will be a utensil God can use for his purpose. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

His Own

In his goodness he chose to make us his own children by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his choice possession.
He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere.
He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!
Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?
He has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment of everything he will give us.

His Love

And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.
Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.
As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him.
I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away.
Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn't love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
The LORD still waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for him to help them.

How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!
"These are some of the minor things he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who can understand the thunder of his power?"
Yet despite Jesus' instructions, the report of his power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear him preach and to be healed of their diseases.
We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did.
I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.

A hostile world! I call to GOD, I cry to God to help me. From his palace he hears my call; my cry brings me right into his presence-- a private audience!
Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and loved to think about him.
The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.
But when you proclaim his truth in everyday speech, you're letting others in on the truth so that they can grow and be strong and experience his presence with you.
God always answers, one way or another, even when people don't recognize his presence.
And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening.

Endurance

[ Gods Discipline Proves His Love ] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.
For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.
May the Lord bring you into an ever deeper understanding of the love of God and the endurance that comes from Christ.

Sure
a Word from God's Book

Be sure to pay attention to what you hear. The more you do this, the more you will understand--and even more, besides.
You can be sure of this: The LORD has set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.
If we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.
I keep right on praying to you, LORD, hoping this is the time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.
When you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
Be sure to do what you should, for then you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else.

Accepted
a WORD from God's Book

There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith.
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him.
Now you can have sincere love for each other as brothers and sisters because you were cleansed from your sins when you accepted the truth of the Good News.

Plan
a WORD from God's Book

I have a plan for the whole earth, for my mighty power reaches throughout the world.
Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.
The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
And this is the secret plan: The Gentiles have an equal share with the Jews in all the riches inherited by God's children. Both groups have believed the Good News, and both are part of the same body and enjoy together the promise of blessings through Christ Jesus.
My goal is that they will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have full confidence because they have complete understanding of God's secret plan, which is Christ himself.

True
a Word from God's Book

His disciples didn't realize at the time that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. But after Jesus entered into his glory, they remembered that these Scriptures had come true before their eyes.
And this is the way to have eternal life--to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
But the time is coming and is already here when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship him that way.
If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life.
My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings great glory to my Father.
