End

Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; [in the end] when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

Mark the blameless man and behold the upright, for there is a happy end for the man of peace.

But the meek [in the end] shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.

At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, For you, God, have put my life back together.

The LORD works out everything to its proper end. Proverbs 16:4

Heart

Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

"You're blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart];

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Matthew 6:21 Matthew 5:8 Matthew 3:8 Matthew 12:35 Matthew 11:29 John 14:27

People with a heart for God have a heart for people.

Better

God's Word is better than a diamond, better than a diamond set between emeralds. You'll like it better than strawberries in spring, better than red, ripe strawberries.

It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich.

Every word you give me is a miracle word— how could I help but obey? Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning. Mouth open and panting, I wanted your commands more than anything. Turn my way, look kindly on me, as you always do to those who personally love you. Steady my steps with your Word of promise so nothing malign gets the better of me. Rescue me from the grip of bad men and women so I can live life your way. Smile on me, your servant; teach me the right way to live.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.

Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.

Psalm 19:10 Psalm 37:16 Psalm 119:129 Psalm 118:8 Psalm 63:3 Psalm 84:10

The difficulties of life are to make us better – not bitter.

Assure

"Keep my decrees and observe my laws and you will live secure in the land. The land will yield its fruit; you will have all you can eat and will live safe and secure.

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.

So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

God does not demand success – just obedience.

Recall

I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.

But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

I'm using this freedom language because it's easy to picture. You can readily recall, can't you, how at one time the more you did just what you felt like doing—not caring about others, not caring about God—the worse your life became and the less freedom you had? And how much different is it now as you live in God's freedom, your lives healed and expansive in holiness?

For this very cause I sent to you Timothy…who will recall to your minds my methods of proceeding and course of conduct and way of life in Christ, such as I teach everywhere

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles. Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

God came to live with us so we could live with Him.
