They were surprised and wondered how easy it was for Peter and John to speak. They could tell they were men who had not gone to school. But they knew they had been with Jesus
Preach the Word of God. Preach it when it is easy and people want to listen and when it is hard and people do not want to listen. Preach it all the time. Use the Word of God to show people they are wrong. Use the Word of God to help them do right. You must be willing to wait for people to understand what you teach as you teach them.
I speak with words easy to understand because your human thinking is weak. .. Now give yourselves over to being right with God. Set yourself apart for God living and to do His work.

Expect

I stayed awake all night, prayerfully pondering your promise.
"Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches."
The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.
Be like house servants waiting for their master to come back from his honeymoon, awake and ready to open the door when he arrives and knocks.
Stay awake, alert. You have no idea what day your Master will show up.
Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer.

Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting him, for our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

"What horrors await you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have sat in deep repentance long ago, clothed in sackcloth and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.
Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow could cleanse people's bodies from ritual defilement.
I turned to the Master God, asking for an answer--praying earnestly, fasting from meals, wearing rough penitential burlap, and kneeling in the ashes.
You don't want to end up with nothing to show for your life But a pile of ashes, a house burned to the ground. So seek GOD and live!

Strong
a WORD from God's Book

But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from the evil one.
Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.
God is able to make you strong, just as the Good News says. It is the message about Jesus Christ and his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time.
Stand true to what you believe. Be courageous. Be strong.

Source of

Choose
a WORD from God's Book

Just because you refuse to live on God's terms, do you think he should start living on yours? You choose. I can't do it for you.
"If you decide that it's a bad thing to worship GOD, then choose a god you'd rather serve--and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped … As for me and my family, we'll (choose to) worship GOD."
"You didn't choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.
Why don't you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

Heal
a WORD from God's Book

The Spirit … gives the power to heal the sick.
One day Jesus called together his twelve apostles and gave them power and authority to cast out demons and to heal all diseases.
He sent them out to tell everyone about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Heal the sick. As you heal them, say, `The Kingdom of God is near you now.'
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you've sinned, you'll be forgiven--healed inside and out.

When you proclaim his truth in everyday speech, you're letting others in on the truth so that they can grow and be strong and experience his presence with you.
Be strong with the special favor God gives you in Christ Jesus.

Faith

Then those who grew up "in the faith' but had no faith will find themselves out in the cold, outsiders to grace and wondering what happened."
She was thinking to herself, "If I can just put a finger on his robe, I'll get well." Jesus turned--caught her at it. Then he reassured her: "Courage, daughter. You took a risk of faith, and now you're well."
"You're not yet taking God seriously," said Jesus. "The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, "Move!' and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn't be able to tackle."
But the Master said, "You don't need more faith. There is no "more' or "less' in faith. If you have a bare kernel of faith, say the size of a poppy seed, you could say to this sycamore tree, "Go jump in the lake,' and it would do it.
